IR COMMANDS OVER XIVALINK

Many multiroom controllers can issue simple RS232/Ethernet commands. These commands can be

used to control the user interface of an S2000 SoundServer

Example of Installation

The installer has hard-wired output 1 of the SoundServer to the home theatre, output 2 to the kitchen,

output 3 to the bedroom. In each room is a keypad/touchscreen with a mimic of the Imerge IR handset,

whilst watching the TV interface on a TV. If touchpanel/keypad size is minimal then use layouts as

above for IR based controllers. If the touchpanel is large enough then a complete emulation of the XiVA

handset is possible.

Commands

Each SoundServer output has a unique set of commands. Issuing the commands should behave in

exactly the same way as if the corresponding command was issued from the supplied IR handset. i.e.

the TV user interface will switch over to how the output you are trying to control.
